JANUARY 2010
POLICE HANDLED THE FOLLOWING CALLS FOR SERVICE:


January 1st

ARREST: At 1:10 a.m. after making a motor vehicle stop police arrested Benjamin Streicher, 21, of Jaffrey. He was charged with; Driving While Intoxicated (second offense), Drug Possession, Open Container Violation and Driving after Suspension. He was transported to Hillsborough County House of Corrections on a $1000 cash bail. He is scheduled for court on February 11th at Henniker District Court.

MUTUAL AID: At 10:15 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.


January 2nd

SUMMONS: At 11:00 a.m. police issued a summons to Pamela Pitchard, 47, of Francestown for Driving without a Valid License. She was scheduled for court on February 11 th at Henniker District Court.

SUMMONS: At 1:40 p.m. police issued a summons to Peter Prudhomme, 25, of Dover for an Open Container Violation. He is scheduled for Henniker District Court on February 11 th.

DOMESTIC: At 9:50 p.m. police responded to a North Bennington Road residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed a verbal argument between a mother and her juvenile daughter. The situation was calmed down and no further action was necessary.


January 3rd

ARREST: At 5:40 p.m. police received a report of an erratic driver. Subsequently Jacqueline Brown, 45, of Bennington was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. She was released on $1200 personal recognizance bail pending a February 11th court date in Henniker District Court.


January 4th

THEFT: At 09:00 police took six reports of thefts of snowboards from Crotched Mountain Ski Area. The thefts occurred during the late night early morning hours. Investigation continues.

E911: At 4:15 p.m. police responded to an Emergency 911 call at a local business. No problems were found.

ARREST: At 9:15 p.m. after making a motor vehicle stop police arrested Brian O’Clair, 18, of Bennington charging him with Driving After Suspension. He was released on $1500 personal recognizance bail pending a February 11th court date in Henniker District Court.


January 5th

BAD CHECKS: At 12:30 p.m. police starting investigating a report of bad checks being passed at two local businesses. John Buckley, 36, of Litchfield was recently arrested for passing nine bad checks. There are now sixteen more bad checks which were passed by him being investigated.

MUTUAL AID: At 11:30 police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with a CO issue at a North Bennington Road residence.


January 6th

ARREST: At 10:20 p.m. after making a motor vehicle stop police arrested Loni Pritchard, 22, of Hudson. She was charged with; Driving while Intoxicated, Drug Possession, Driving after Suspension and Disobeying an Officer. She was released on $5000 personal recognizance bail pending a February 11th court date in Henniker District Court.


January 7th

BAD CHECKS: At 11:00 a.m. police began investigating a case in which bad checks were presented to the Bennington Country Store.

MUTUAL AID: At 6:00 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.


January 8th

MUTUAL AID: At 8:00 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.


January 9th

MUTUAL AID: At 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with medical calls at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.

INVESTIGATION: At 11:30 p.m. police began investigating a report of open container violations at the Ski Area. Investigation continues; however, summons will probably be issued.

ARREST: At 10:25 p.m. police made a motor vehicle stop and subsequently arrested William Auth, 21, of New York charging him with Driving after Suspension. He was released on $2500 personal recognizance bail pending a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.

ALARM: At 11:20 p.m. police responded to a local business for an alarm activation. It was found to be accidental.

MUTUAL AID: At 11:10 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.

JUVENILE: At 11:30 p.m. police found two juveniles drinking alcohol. They both were charged with Illegal Possession of Alcohol. Their case will be heard in Henniker District Court.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: At 11:55 p.m. police investigated a report of disorderly conduct at the Ski Area. One individual was advised to leave the ski area property which he did.


January 10th

THEFT: At 12:45 p.m. police took a theft report involving the taking of speakers from a vehicle at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.


January 12th

FOUND PROPERTY: At 12:30 p.m. police had a citizen turned in found property to the police. The item was Illegal Drugs. The drug tested positive to being cocaine.

ARREST: At 1:30 p.m. police arrested David Pedreira, 26, of New Ipswich on a bench warrant out of Henniker District Court. He was arraigned at Jaffrey/Peterborough District Court. He was giving another court date of February 11th in Henniker District Court.

ARREST: At 9:15 p.m. after making a motor vehicle stop Aaron Barrett, 18, of Antrim was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending a February 11th court date in Henniker District Court.


January 13th

THEFT: At 1:30 p.m. police began investigating a report of a laptop computer being stolen from the Crotched Mountain Ski Area.

ASSAULT: At 8:45 p.m. police took a report of an assault which occurred at the Crotched Mountain Ski Area.

JUVENILE: At 11:00 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Police with an incident involving a run-a-way juvenile. The juvenile was found at a friend’s house in Bennington.


January 14 th

DOMESTIC INCIDENT: At 8:45 police responded to a report of a domestic incident at a Francestown Road residence. Investigation revealed it was verbal. One person decided to leave for the evening. No further action was necessary.


January 15th

ARREST: At 11:00 a.m. police arrested Richard Dauphinais, 44, of Antrim charging him with Simple Assault. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: At 9:00 p.m. police responded to the Crotched Mountain Ski Area for a disorderly conduct incident. At this point investigation continues.

LOUD MUSIC: At 10:00 p.m. police responded to the Crotched Mountain Ski Area for a report of loud music. The music was turned down.

MUTUAL AID: At 1:00 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.

ANIMAL: At 2:15 p.m. police received a report of a stray dog on Francestown Road. Police did not find the dog.

ARREST: At 9:30 p.m. police discovered two individuals on Francestown Road with alcohol. Since the two individual were uder 21 years of age police charged them with Illegal Possession of Alcohol. Nicholas Giannetti, 17, of Fitchburg MA and Nathan Parsons, 18, also of Fitchburg MA were released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.

ARREST: At 11:05 p.m. after making a motor vehicle stop police charged Thomas Allen, 22, of Keene with Illegal Possession of Alcohol – open container violation. He was released on a summons pending a March 11 th court date in Henniker District Court.

MUTUAL AID: At 11:25 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at Crotched Mountain Ski Area.


January 16th

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: At 3:40 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Gillis Hill Road. Investigation revealed that Angela Jackson, 16, of Bennington lost control of her vehicle, a 1995 Dodge Stratus, due to road conditions. She was not injured; however, the vehicle sustained significant damage to the right side.

MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Ambulance three times with medical calls at the ski area.

MUTUAL AID: At 6:30 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Police with a possible suicidal person.

INVESTIGATE: At 11:15 p.m. police investigated a report of loud music at the Crotched Mountain Ski Area.


January 17th

BURGLARY ALARM: At 10:45 p.m. police responded to a local business for a burglary alarm. It was found to have been accidental.


January 18th

MOTOR VEHICLE: At 9:00 a.m. police responded to State Route 202 for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Investigation revealed a driver lost control due to icy road conditions. There were no injuries or no damage. The vehicle was pulled out of the snow bank.

INVESTIGATE: At 4:00 p.m. police responded to a State Route 202 residence for a neighbor dispute over one neighbor blowing snow onto the others property.

INVESTIGATE: At 4:15 p.m. police responded to a Francestown Road residence for a neighbor dispute. The dispute was over a neighbor staring at the other. Police calmed the situation without further incident.


January 19th

CITIZEN ASSIST: At 4:30 p.m. police were requested to check the welfare of a Francestown Road resident. No problems were found.

THEFT: At 11:30 a.m. police took a report of gas being stolen from a vehicle on Acre Street.

MUTUAL AID: At 7:15 p.m. police assisted the Hancock Police with a motor vehicle accident on State Route 202.


January 20th

ANIMAL: At 9:30 a.m. police received a report of a stray dog on Balch Farm Road. Police did not find the dog.

MUTUAL AID: At 11:00 a.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call on Pine Meadows Circle.

ARREST: At 4:30 p.m. after investigating a motor vehicle accident police charged Angela Jackson, 16, of Bennington with Negligent Driving. She also received a summons for a youth license violation. She was released on a summons with a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.

JUVENILE: At 5:20 p.m. police located a juvenile who ran away from Henniker. She was taken into custody and transported to Henniker where she was turned over to the Henniker Police.

SUMMONS: At 7:20 p.m. police issued a summons to Michael Stevens, 53, of Farmington charging him with Driving without a Valid New Hampshire License. He was scheduled for a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.


January 21st

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: At 11:00 p.m. police responded to a Mountain Road residence for a report of suspicious activity. Investigation revealed a raccoon got into the house and was causing damage to property.

JUVENILE: At 9:00 a.m. police received a report from the middle school regarding a truant student.

CIVIL: At 10:30 a.m. police received a report involving a customer falling and sustaining injuries at a local business.

MUTUAL AID: At 5:30 p.m. police responded to a local business for a medical alarm. It was found to have been accidental.


January 22nd

ARREST: At 6:50 p.m. after making a motor vehicle stop for speed police arrested Anthony Mann, 18 of Hillsborough charging him with Illegal Possession and Illegal Transportation of a Controlled Drug believed to be marijuana. He was released on $750 personal recognizance bail pending a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.

MUTUAL AID: At midnight police assisted the Antrim Police with a call for service involving a fight at a local bar.

MUTUAL AID: Throughout the day the police assisted medical personnel with five calls for service.


January 23rd

DOMESTIC: At 12:30 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Police with a domestic disturbance incident at a State Route 202 business.

MUTUAL AID: At 5:25 p.m. police assisted the Bennington Fire Department on North Bennington Road involving a fuel spill which caught fire.

MUTUAL AID: At 8:20 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at the ski area.

ARREST: At 9:20 p.m. after making a motor vehicle stop police arrested three individuals. Hannah Brown, 19, of Peterborough was charged with Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor; Leah Thistle, 20, of Bennington was charged with Unlawful Possession of Alcohol and Robert Morgan, 22, of Antrim was charged with Illegal Possession of a Controlled Drug believed to be marijuana. All were released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.


January 24th

MUTUAL AID: At 11:40 a.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at the Ski Area.

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: At 1:00 p.m. police responded to a Francestown Road residence for a neighbor dispute. This is an ongoing issue and this time was over one neighbor staring at the other.

THEFT: At 3:15 p.m. police took a report of theft of skis which were stolen from the Crotched Mountain Ski Area.


January 25th

MOTOR VEHICLE: At 5:30 a.m. police received a report of an ambulance which slid off the roadway on South Bennington Road. Investigation revealed the problem was due to icy road conditions and maintenance issues.

MUTUAL AID: At 10:00 a.m. police received a report of a vehicle fire at the Southface Condos on Francestown Road. The vehicle was a total loss and the building sustained moderate damage.

CITIZEN ASSIST: At 12:30 p.m. police were requested to check the welfare of an Acre Street resident. He was found to be doing fine.

ARREST: At 4:45 p.m. police arrested John Buckley charging him with Issuing Bad Checks. He was released on personal recognizance bail pending a March 11th court date in Henniker District Court.

ARREST: At 8:30 p.m. police arrested Michael Beauchamp, 42, of Francestown on a Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation. He posted $500 cash bail pending a February 22nd court date in Jaffrey Peterborough District Court.


January 26th

ANIMAL: At 11:00 a.m. police received a report of stray dogs on Dodge Hill Road. The dogs were returned to owner.

PROTECTIVE CUSTODY: At 6:50 p.m. police took a juvenile into protective custody and transported her to the hospital.

CHECK WELFARE: At 10:15 p.m. police were requested to check the welfare of a Bible Hill Road resident. He was found to be doing fine.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: At 10:40 p.m. police received a report of a suspicious vehicle at a State Route 202 residence. Investigation revealed no problems.


January 27th

MUTUAL AID: At 5:20 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Police with a suicidal person.


January 28th

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: At 12:10 p.m. police took a report of damage done to a mailbox at a South Bennington Road residence.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: At 12:30 p.m. police took a report of a vehicle being shot by paintballs.

INVESTIGATE: At 9:30 p.m. police received a report of a bad check being passed at a town office.


January 29th

MUTUAL AID: At 3:50 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at the ski area.


January 30th

ARREST: At 10:35 p.m. police arrested Patrick Quinn of Antrim charging him with Misapplication of Property. He was released on personal recognizance bail pending a March 11th court date at Henniker District Court.


January 31st

ANIMAL: At 3:00 p.m. police received a report of stray dogs on Old Greenfield Road. Police did not find the dogs.

MUTUAL AID: At 5:40 p.m. police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a medical call at the Ski Area.
