OCTOBER 2009
POLICE HANDLED THE FOLLOWING CALLS FOR SERVICE:
October 1st
INVESTIGATE: Police received a report of suspicious people at a vacant property. Investigation revealed they were authorized to remove property.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of dogs running at large on Francestown Road.
October 2nd
PARKING: Police received a report of parking issues at the Elementary School.
PARKING: Police received a report of parking issues on Antrim Road.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a vehicle which was leaking gas.
October 3rd
SCAM: Police received a report of an attempted Craig’s List scam from an Acre Street resident.
October 4th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with a fire alarm call at the Paper Mill. It was determined to have been a false alarm.
October 5th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on South Bennington Road.
911 CALL: Police received an Emergency 911 call from a local business. It was found to have been accidental.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of pigs running around Bible Hill Road. The owner was contacted.
October 6 th
CIVIL: Police received a report from a North Bennington Road resident. It was in regards to a boundary dispute. She was advised that it was a civil issue.
ROAD HAZARD: Police responded to North Bennington Road for a road hazard involving a truck losing its load. The highway department was notified for assistance.
CITIZEN ASSIST: Police received a report of a lost person who had medical conditions. She was located walking on State Route 202. She was not injured.
October 7th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on North Bennington Road.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of dogs chasing chickens on Durgin Road.
CRIMINAL THREATENING: Police received a report of criminal threatening. After determining that it occurred in Francestown the individual was referred to the Francestown Police.
October 8th
SEXUAL ASSAULT: Police began investigating a sexual assault report.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on State Route 202.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Police received a report of someone taking photos of a residence. No problems were found.
ILLEGAL DUMPING: Police received a report of Illegal Dumping which occurred on Rogers Road.
October 9th
CITIZEN ASSIST: Police assisted an employee of the Paper Mill after he locked his keys in his vehicle.
October 10th
SHOTS FIRED: Police received a report of shots fired on North Bennington Road. It was found to be fireworks.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hancock Police with a property check of an unsecured building.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on North Bennington Road. Damage was minor.
CIVIL: Police mediated a dispute on Bible Hill Road involving the purchase of a camper.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of dogs running at large on Bible Hill Road.
MOTOR VEHICLE: Police received a report of a vehicle operating erratically on Greenfield Road. It was gone by time police arrived.
INVESTIGATE: Police responded to Old Greenfield Road for a report of loud noise.
October 11th
CITIZEN ASSIST: Police were requested to assist a motorist in unlocking his vehicle.
CRIMINAL THREATENING: Police received a report of criminal threatening which occurred at an Old Greenfield Road residence.
October 12 th
ARREST: Police took Timothy Booth, 25, of Hillsborough into Protective Custody for public intoxication.
October 13th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Ambulance with a person who fell and could not get up.
ARREST: Police arrested two juveniles charging them with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespassing. The cases will be heard in juvenile court.
October 14th
CITIZEN ASSIST: Police assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle on State Route 202.
CRIMINAL THREATENING: Police took a report of criminal threatening from an Acre Street resident.
ARREST: Police arrested Coreen Ferguson, 27, charging her with Criminal Threatening.
October 15th
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Police received a report of a suspicious person on Hancock Road. The person was looking for a ride; therefore, police offered and gave him a ride out of the area.
October 16th
ARREST: Police arrested Robert Gilman, 25, of Bennington on an arrest warrant out of Hillsborough. He was released on $250 personal recognizance bail pending a November 19th court date in Henniker District Court.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hancock Police with a domestic incident on Duncan Road.
MISCHIEF: Police took a report of damage done to a mailbox on Pine Meadows Circle.
October 17th
ARREST: Police arrested William Nazer, 63, of Antrim charging him with two counts of Criminal Threatening. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending a December 10th court date in Henniker District Court.
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop police arrested Robert Donnelly, 23, of Francestown. He was arrested on a warrant out of Antrim, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Drug believed to be marijuana and Possession of Drugs in a Motor Vehicle. He was released on $2500 personal recognizance bail pending a December 3rd court date in Henniker District Court.
October 19th
RECKLESS OPERATION: Police spoke to a resident regarding reckless driving in a construction zone.
OCTOBER 20th
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Police received a report of a suspicious person on Francestown Road. It was found to have been a worker.
ID THEFT: Police took a report of identification theft from a Mountain Road resident. This is an ongoing issue.
E911: Police responded to an Emergency 911 call at the Paper Mill. There were no problems found.
JUVENILE: Police received a report of a missing juvenile. He was found in the woods by the house and was found to be doing fine.
HARASSMENT: Police received a report of harassment involving the sending of unwanted e-mails. The e-mails were to a juvenile from an adult. Investigation continues.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of dogs running at large on Francestown Road. They were gone by time police arrived.
October 21st
ARREST: Police arrested Robert Gilman, 25, of Bennington charging him with Driving After Suspension and Breach of Bail. He was released on $2500 personal recognizance bail pending a December 10th court date in Henniker District Court.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a lost dog from a North Bennington Road resident.
THEFT: Police took a report of theft involving a credit card being used in Texas.
October 22nd
CIVIL: Police were requested to the check the welfare of a Durgin Road resident. She was found to be doing fine.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Police received a report of a suspicious person on Hancock Road. No one was located.
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop police arrested Roxanne Richard, 26, of Bennington. She was charged with Driving After Suspension, Drugs in a Motor Vehicle, two counts of Illegal Possession of a Controlled Drug believed to be heroin, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Drug believed to be marijuana and Illegal Possession of a Prescription Drug. She was released on $5000 personal recognizance bail pending a December 10th court date in Henniker District Court.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of dogs running at large on Starrett Road. No dogs were found.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a shots fired call. Nothing was found.
October 23rd
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 202. Investigation revealed it was very minor. Both drivers exchanged information. No accident report was required.
THEFT: Police took a report of theft of gas from a North Bennington Road resident. Investigation continues.
October 24th
ARRESTS: Police responded to the Southface Condos for a noise complaint. Investigation resulted in three arrests. Sara Estes, 19, of Bennington was charged with Illegal Possession of Alcohol. Conor Day, 18, of Francestown was charged with Illegal Possession of Alcohol. Both were released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending a December 10th court date in Henniker District Court. Miles Maloney, 21, of Peterborough was taken into Protective Custody. He was released to an adult.
ARREST: Police responded to a Francestown Road residence for a domestic incident. Investigation resulted in Joseph Devincentis, 61, of Bennington being taken into Protective Custody for Intoxication. He was subsequently transported to Hillsborough County House of Correction.
ALARM: Police were assisted by Antrim in responding to a local business for an alarm. No problems were found.
October 25th
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Police received a report of two suspicious persons at the beach. They were gone when police arrived.
ANIMAL: Police received a complaint regarding neighbors arguing over a cat.
October 26th
CIVIL: Police received a report regarding tenant issues. The landlord was advised that it was a civil matter.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Ross Road. Investigation revealed it was a neighbor’s vehicle. There were no problems.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call at the Paper Mill.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on North Bennington Road.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with an oil spill call on State Route 202.
October 27th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of loose sheep on Francestown Road. The owner was contacted.
HARASSMENT: Police took a report from a Durgin Road resident regarding receiving harassing phone calls.
October 28th
ARREST: Police charged a juvenile with Receiving Stolen Property. Case will be heard in juvenile court.
ARREST: Police arrested Leah Thistle, 20, of Bennington charging her with disorderly conduct. She was released on a summons.
ARREST: Police arrested Sara Estes, 19, of Bennington charging her with disorderly conduct. She was released on a summons.
JUVENILE: Police received a report from a mother regarding her juvenile son smoking tobacco products and doing drugs. A report was taken. Investigation continues.
ARREST: Police arrested Jeremy Blanchette, 20, for Illegal Possession of Alcohol. He was released on personal recognizance bail pending court.
ARREST: Police took Kyle Larouche, 21, into Protective Custody for Intoxication. He was released to a sober adult.
October 29th
PROTECTIVE CUSTODY: Police received a report of a missing juvenile. After locating the young man police took him into protective custody until a parent was able to pick him up.
October 30th
JUVENILE: Police received a report of two young kids playing by and in the roadway on State Route 202. The mother was spoken to. No further action was necessary.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Bible Hill Road. The owner was spoken to and warned because of animals constantly running at large.
CHECK WELFARE: Police were requested to check the welfare of an Acre Street resident. He was found to be doing fine.
October 31st
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hillsborough Police with a disturbance call at a local supermarket.
OHRV: Police received a report of two Off Road Vehicles on Antrim roadway. Police did not find the vehicles.
JUVENILE: Police received a report of a daughter not being at home when she was supposed to be. She was found at a friend’s house.
E911: Police received an Emergency 911 call from a State Route 202 residence. Investigation revealed a child was playing with the phone.
