May 1st
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop police arrested Charles Barry, 18, of Antrim charging him with Illegal Possession of a Controlled Drug. He was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a June 11th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
BURGLARY/CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police began investigating a report involving burglary of a building and major damage done to the building and its contents. Police were able to identify the individuals involved. Charges are pending; however, at this time the investigation continues.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police took a report of mischief at a school involving eggs being thrown at the school.
CIVIL: Police mediated a dispute between property manager and tenants at the condos.
CIVIL: Police mediated a dispute between two brothers involving a dispute over land ownership.
May 2nd
ASSAULT: Police received a report of an individual being assaulted on State Route 202. Investigation reveals approximately ten people involved in the altercation. Charges are pending; however, at this time the investigation continues.
DOMESTIC: Police received a report regarding the violation of a domestic order of protection.
May 3rd
DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Police responded to a South Bennington Road residence for a report of a domestic disturbance with the possibility of an assault occurring. Investigation revealed that an ex-girlfriend showed up at a party where her ex-boyfriend was. Police could not determine if an assault occurred; however, at this point the investigation continues.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on State Route 202. The owner was spoken to.
UNWANTED SUBJECT: Police received a report of an unwanted subject at a Merrill Drive residence. The person departed without issue.
May 5th
JUVENILE: Police received a report regarding a missing juvenile who might be at an underage drinking party. Investigation revealed the juvenile lives in Francestown and the party might be in Rindge. Police referred the mother to the appropriate agency.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a dispute on Main Street.
May 6th
HARASSMENT: Police took a report of harassing phone calls from a North Bennington Road resident.
May 7th
BAD CHECK: Police received a bad check from the Bennington Town Clerk. The person writing the check was notified and cleared it up immediately.
ARREST: Police arrested Angela St John, 38, of Hancock on two warrants from Peterborough Police Department. One was for forgery and one was for issuing a bad check. She was transported to the Peterborough Police and turned over to them for processing.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of an injured pheasant on Francestown Road. The bird did not survive.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Pine Meadows Circle. The owner received a summons.
May 8th
THEFT: Police received a report of three individuals attempting to take metal from the transfer station. Police made contact with them and advised them that this could be considered theft and trespassing and not to go onto the property again. There have been no further complaints.
ARREST: Police arrested a 16 year old juvenile charging her with Simple Assault. A petition was filed with the juvenile division of the Hillsborough District Court.
DOMESTIC: Police responded to Durgin Road for a report of a domestic disturbance. It was determined to have been verbal. The female party departed the residence. No further action was required.
May 9th
ARREST: Police arrested Tammy Comeau, 35, of Bennington on a bench warrant for failure to pay restitution to the Hillsborough District Court. She was transported to court where she paid some of the restitution and was subsequently released with the understanding that she would make payments on the remaining amount.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on South Bennington Road. Even though the dog was sighted it could not be caught.
May 10th
ARREST: Police arrested Jason Byam, 29, of Bennington on a bench warrant for failure to pay child support. He was allowed to go to the Cheshire Superior Court where he made payment of the child support subsequently resulting in the warrant being vacated.
May 11th
ARREST: Police arrested Jason Byam, 29, of Bennington charging with him Driving After Suspension (subsequent offense). He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending a June 11th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
May 12th
THEFT: Police began investigating a report of a motorist driving off without paying for gas. The incident occurred at Rymes Heating. Investigation continues.
OHRV’S: Police received a report of 4-wheelers operating on a closed trail on North Bennington Road. Police caught up with the drivers. Because of there age police spoke to the parents and warned them against operating on the trails and the laws of operating OHRV’s off private property.
DISTURBANCE: Police responded to the Monadnock Paper Mills for an argument in the parking lot. The situation was calmed down without further incident.
May 13th
CIVIL: Police received a report of a disagreement involving the ownership of horses and a trailer. It was determined to be a civil matter.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on North Bennington Road. The owner was contacted and picked up the dog.
May 14th
DOMESTIC: Police received a report of a domestic disturbance at a Merrill Drive residence. It was determined to be verbal; however, an emergency order of protection was granted.
DISPUTE: Police received a report involving a property dispute between neighbors on Dodge Hill Road. This is an ongoing issue; however, it is calm for the moment.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a woman walking being chased by a dog on Greenfield Road. The owner of the dog received a summons.
May 15th
ARREST: Police arrested Maria Krasinski, 41, of Peterborough on a warrant for failure to appear in court to answer the charge of Driving After Suspension. She was released on $2500 personal recognizance bail pending a June 11th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of stray dogs on Dodge Road. Police did not find the dogs.
May 16th
ARREST: Police arrested Angie McIntyre, 31, of Hillsborough charging her with Issuing a Bad Check to Harris’ Mini Mart. She was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a June 11th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Police received a report of a woman standing in the roadway on Francestown Road. She was gone on arrival.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Police received a report of a person not moving. Investigation revealed she was sleeping in her vehicle.
May 17th
ANIMAL: Police received a report from a Merrill Drive resident regarding her neighbors dog constantly barking. The owner was spoken to.
May 18th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Francestown Police with a call for service involving a fight at Tory Pines.
May 19th
DOMESTIC: Police responded to a State Route 202 residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed it was a verbal dispute. Police cleared without further incident.
CIVIL STANDBY: Police were requested to do a civil standby at an Old Hancock Road resident due to an argument between landlord and tenants whom were moving out.
LOUD NOISE: Police responded to an Eaton Avenue for a report of loud noise. Police spoke to the tenant. The situation was quieted down without further incident.
May 20th
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident on North Bennington Road. At this point the investigation continues because the motorist was involved in the accident Saturday evening (5/19/07) and failed to report it to the police until the next day.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on Paradise Drive.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dog killing chickens on Pine Meadows Circle. The owner of the dog paid restitution to the owner of the chickens.
INVESTIGATE: Police received a report of a boat with a motor on the local lake. The lake has an ordinance against the use of motors. The individual was advised to leave. A report was made to State Fish & Game Department.
TRESPASSING: Police received a report of a motor vehicle trespassing onto private property on Knightland Road.
May 21st
ARREST: Police arrested Caleb Koivula, 18, of Bennington charging him with Criminal Trespass and Operating a Motor Vehicle as an OHRV. He was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a July 9th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: After an investigation of a past motor vehicle accident on North Bennington Road police arrested Maureen Durgin, 41, of Bennington charging her with Conduct After an Accident. She was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a July 9th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop for speed police arrested Patrick Quinn, 36, of Antrim charging him with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a July 9th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with a brush fire on Larkin Hill Road.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with an unattended burn on State Route 202.
May 23rd
DRIVE OFF: Police received a report of a motorist driving off from Rymes without paying for gas. It was determined to have been accidental.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Greenfield Police on Old Bennington Road with a car stop which resulted in three arrests for drug offenses.
ANIMAL: Police received a report from a Gillis Hill Road resident regarding her neighbor’s dog constantly barking.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on Acre Street.
May 25th
ARREST: Police arrested Justin Morrison, 33, of Greenfield charging him with Issuing a Bad Check to Our Town Country Store. He was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a July 9th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Police received a report from a North Bennington Road resident regarding juveniles trespassing onto her property. The parents were spoken to.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hancock Police with a motor vehicle stop involving juveniles with alcohol.
May 26th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on State Route 202. The owner of the dog was spoken to.
May 27th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on State Route 202.
May 28th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a loose horse on North Bennington Road. Police could not catch up with the horse; however, it did make it home safely.
MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLAINTS: Police received two complaints regarding speeding. Police spoke to the owner of the truck; however, were unable to locate the speeding OHRV’s.
May 29th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on South Bennington Road.
BAD CHECKS: Police received bounced checks on three people from the Our Town Country Store. Investigation continues.
CIVIL: Police responded to a dispute between a landlord and tenant at a State Route 202 residence. The dispute was over rent and occupancy.
E911: Police received an Emergency 911 call from a local business. It was determined to have been accidental.

ARREST: Police arrested Jacob Lyons of Bennington charging him with Issuing Bad Checks. He was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a June 11th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: Police arrested Pamela Pitchard of Francestown charging her with Issuing Bad Checks. She was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a July 9th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ANIMAL: Police received an animal complaint involving a dog constantly barking at a State Route 202 residence. Police spoke to the owners.
May 31st
INVESTIGATION: Police began an investigation of a person driving a vehicle while having suspended registration privileges. Investigation continues.
INVESTIGATION: Police received a complaint involving a Mountain Road resident shooting his gun in an unsafe location.
