June 1st
ARRESTS: Police arrested Mark White of Rindge and Tammy Comeau of Bennington charging them with Illegal Sales of Drugs and Illegal Possession of Drugs. They are currently on bail pending court dates.
DOMESTIC: Police responded to a State Route 202 resident for a domestic dispute incident. The incident was calmed without further action being necessary.
June 2nd
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on State Route 202. The owner was spoken to about the dog control ordinance.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a domestic disturbance incident on Concord Street.
June 5th
DOMESTIC: Police responded to a State Route 202 residence for a report of a barricaded person. Investigation revealed that a husband and wife were having a verbal domestic. The situation was calmed down without further action being necessary.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Main Street. Investigation revealed a minor fender bender. Both operators were provided with an accident report.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of stray dogs on Greenfield Road. Police were unable to locate the dogs.
June 6th
CIVIL: Police responded to a State Route 202 residence for a disturbance between landlord and tenant. The disturbance was over unpaid rent and occupancy.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a bear in the area of the school playground. The bear was not located; however, recess was cancelled.
June 8th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Onset Road. The owner was spoken to.
BURGLARY: Police started an investigation of a burglary at a Whittemore Lake Road residence. Police do have clues and suspects; however, investigation continues.
June 9th
ARREST: Police took Michelle Flagg, 27, of Francestown into Protective Custody for intoxication. She was not allowed to drive; however, she was released to a friend.
ARRESTS: Police arrested nine people after receiving a report there was a fight on State Route 202. All arrestees were charged with rioting. They were released on personal recognizance bail pending a July 9th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
June 10th
ARREST: Police arrested Jennifer Mosher, 40, of Bennington for Issuing a Bad Check to Our Town Country Store. She was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending a July 9th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on State Route 202. A summons was issued to the owner of the dog.
June 11th
ANIMAL: Police responded to Durgin Road for a report of a dog killing chickens. Investigation revealed that a dog killed a number of adult chickens, chicks and hatching eggs. The owner of the dog received summons to appear in court on August 13th.
INVESTIGATION: Police received a report of gunshots on Greenfield Road. Investigation revealed that someone was target practicing in a sandpit.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of loose cows on Onset Road. The owner was contacted and took care of the issue.
June 12th
ARREST: Police arrested a juvenile charging her with Simple Assault. A juvenile petition was filed with the Hillsborough District Court. The case will be heard as a juvenile incident.
CIVIL: Police received a report involving a dispute between a North Bennington Road mother and daughter. The argument started over the use of a cell phone. Police calmed the ongoing situation for the moment.
CRIMINAL THREATENING: Police received a report from a man stating he was threatened by a Bennington Resident. The incident was caused by marital troubles in which a third party got involved. Investigation continues.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police began an investigation of criminal mischief. The mischief was the result of damage done to the raft at the town beach. Police have suspects; however, at this time the investigation continues.
THEFT: Police received a report of theft from a State Route 202 residence. The incident is the result of an ongoing dispute between landlord and tenant.
CIVIL: Police received a report from a North Bennington Road resident regarding problems between a parent and children. Police spoke to all and calmed the situation for the time being.
INVESTIGATION: Police received a report of a female screaming. She was in her vehicle on State Route 202. Investigation revealed she was upset because her vehicle broke down.
June 13th
ARREST: Police arrested Robert Flagg, 25, of Greenfield charging him with Receiving Stolen Property. He was held at Valley Street Jail on $5000 cash bail pending an arraignment on June 14th. His arraignment resulted in bail being changed to $10,000 personal recognizance with an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: Police arrested Michael Flagg, 49, of Antrim charging him with Receiving Stolen Property. He was held at Valley Street Jail on $5000 cash bail pending an arraignment on June 14th. His arraignment resulted in bail being changed to $10,000 personal recognizance with an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: Police took a State Route 202 juvenile into custody charging her with Disorderly Conduct. The case will be heard in juvenile court at the Hillsborough District Court.
June 14th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Deering Police with an arrest which occurred on North Bennington Road.
INVESTIGATION: Police began an investigation involving a report of assault. The report came from a trails bureau worker and filed against a North Bennington Road resident.
June 15th
ARREST: After responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a North Bennington Road residence. Subsequent investigation resulted in Kenneth Holt, 42, of Bennington charging him with; two counts of Simple Assault, Criminal Restraint and Interfering with Emergency Communications. He was released on $2500 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: Police responded to a report of a disturbance on the OHRV trail on North Bennington. Subsequent investigation resulted in David Gyles, 49, of Bennington being charged with Disorderly Conduct, Simple Assault and Criminal Threatening. He was released on $2500 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ANIMAL: Police responded to a North Bennington Road resident after receiving a report of a dog bite. The dog, a German Shepherd, bite a bicyclist on the ankle while riding by the residence. The dog was current on rabies shots. The owner received a summons for having a vicious dog, unregistered dog and allowing dog to run at large.
INVESTIGATION: Police received two report of motorist driving off from Harris’ Mini Mart without paying for gas. Police are attempting to locate the drivers. Investigation continues.
June 16th
ARREST: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bible Hill Road. Investigation revealed that Daniel Davis, 21, of Francestown was operating a 1995 Mitsubishi, when he lost control of the vehicle striking some trees. Davis was transported to MCH. The vehicle was a total loss. Subsequent investigation resulted in Davis being arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
DISPUTE: Police responded to a neighbor dispute. The altercation started because one neighbor was not happy the other neighbor was putting up a fence. The dispute turned verbal. Police were able to calm the situation for the time being.
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop for defective equipment police arrested Sarah Berger, 20, of Deering charging her with Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Illegal Possession of Alcohol. She was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court. A passenger, Jacqueline Geoffrey, 18, of Antrim was taken into Protective Custody and subsequently released to a parent.
June 17th
THEFT: Police received a report of a stolen check from a State Route 202 residence. Investigation continues.
INVESTIGATION: Police received a report of a gas spill at Rymes Heating. An investigation by an employee showed that some gas spill out of a hose.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Durgin Road. The dog was taken care of until owner was contacted.
June 18th
ARREST: After responding to a domestic dispute on Main Street police arrested Sherry Liles, 38, of Bennington charging her with Simple Assault. She was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date. Because she went into a residence which was not hers and caused minor damage the investigation continues.
ARRESTS: After investigating a report of mischief done to a raft at the town beach police arrested four juveniles charging them with criminal mischief. The cases will be heard in juvenile court at the Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: After investigating a domestic disturbance situation police arrested Sherry Liles, 38, of Bennington charging her with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass. She was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
MUTUAL AID: Police covered a motor vehicle accident for Hancock Police on State Route 202. The accident involved a school bus and a deer.
ANIMAL: Police received another report of a sighting of a bear. This report stated a bear cub was in a tree. Police advised to stay away because the mother might be close and not happy with anyone hanging around her cub.
June 19th
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Police responded to the town beach regarding a report of disorderly conduct. The complaint alleged teenagers playing rough, being loud and disorderly and using profanity. Police took a report and spoke to the teenager. The situation was handled by talking to the parties. No further action was necessary.
JUVENILE: Police received a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was later located in Hancock.
ANIMAL: Police took a report of stray dogs on Starrett Road. Police spoke to the owner about dog ordinances.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with an intoxicated subject at Redneck’s bar.
June 20th
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police received a report of vandalism at Pierce Elementary School. The report stated that someone wrote graffiti on school property. Investigation continues.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police responded to State Route 202 for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Investigation reveals that Caitlin Stevens, 18, of Antrim was operating a 2002 Mitsubishi on Route 202. She stated she slowed for a rabbit; however, all of a sudden a deer ran into the side of her vehicle. The deer did not survive. There were no injuries and minor damage to the vehicle.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call on North Bennington Road. The medical issue was a young child sustaining a head injury.
June 21st
ARRESTS: Police charged three juveniles with criminal mischief. The charge stems from vandalism done at the local Elementary School. The case is scheduled for juvenile court; however, it is possible the incident might be handled in house with some community service.
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop police arrested Kaisa Mann, 18, of Sharon charging her with Driving While Intoxicated, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Illegal Possession of Alcohol. She was released on $500 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Deering Police with a domestic disturbance call on 2 nd NH Turnpike.
June 22nd
ARREST: Bryan Arsenault, 21, of Bennington was arrested on a warrant and transported to Valley Street Jail by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department. He was charged with probation violation out of North Carolina. He is being held pending a decision of extradition. If extradited his current charges of Rioting out of Bennington will be continued.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hillsborough Police with a motor vehicle fatality on Route 9 bypass.
June 23rd
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop police arrested James Kerouac, 36, of Merrimack charging him with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court. A passenger was taken into protective custody and transported home.
ARREST: Police arrested Christopher Brissette, 32, of Antrim charging him with Receiving Stolen Property. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
June 24th
ARREST: Police arrested David Graves, 19, of Bennington charging him with Illegal Possession of Alcohol. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of stray dogs on Bible Hill Road. Police did not locate the dogs; however, believe they knew who the owner was and spoke to that person.
INVESTIGATE: Police received a report of gun shots in one of the cemeteries. No source of the shooting was located.
June 25th
CHECK WELFARE: Police were requested to check the welfare of a resident on South Bennington Road. She was found to be doing fine.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a barking dog on Dodge Hill Road. Police spoke to someone who took care of the issue.
June 26th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hancock Police with a motor vehicle accident on State Route 202. The accident was a car vs. a deer.
BAD CHECK: Police received a report of a bounced check presented to a local business. Investigation continues.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a domestic disturbance on West Street.
June 27th
INVESTIGATION: Police received a report of a trucker hitting a skateboard on Francestown Road. The skateboarder was not hit. No further reports were made.
CIVIL: Police received a report regarding a neighbor dispute on South Bennington Road. The situation is under control for the moment.
ROAD HAZARD: Due to a severe storm police received a number of calls for trees down.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a domestic disturbance incident on Main Street.
ARREST: Police arrested Roland Davison III, of Antrim charging him with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an August 13th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
June 28th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Durgin Road. Because this was not the first time for this particular dog the owner was issued a summons.
June 29th
CIVIL: Police did a civil standby on Greenfield Road while personal property was removed from a residence.
ARREST: After making a motor vehicle stop on State Route 202 police took Michael Barthel into protective custody for intoxication. He was released to a friend.
June 30th
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on North Bennington Road. The driver fell asleep and ran off the road. No one was injured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
