September 1st
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dog running at large on Pine Meadows Circle. Police spoke to owner.
September 3rd
BURGLARY: Police took a report of a burglary which occurred at a State Route 202 residence.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on North Bennington Road. It was returned to its owner.
JUVENILE: Police investigated a report of juveniles throwing apples at cars on North Bennington Road. Police spoke to the juveniles and adults.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a domestic dispute call on West Street.
September 4th
CITIZEN ASSIST: Police assisted a motorist on State Route 202 who had mechanical problems with his vehicle.
JUVENILE: Police received a report from a juvenile stating she was kicked out of her house. DCYF was notified.
September 6th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dog constantly barking from a State Route 202 residence.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dog running at large on Durgin Road.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog running at large on Francestown Road.
September 7th
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police received a report from a South Bennington Road resident regarding a vehicle window being smashed.
September 8th
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police responded to the parking lot of the Common Place Eatery. Investigation revealed a vehicle was backing up when it struck another vehicle.
September 9th
CIVIL: Police attempted to mediate a dispute between two people involving ownership of property.
PROPERTY CHECK: Police received a report of a vacant house on Whittemore Lake Road having lights on and someone in it. A check revealed the person was authorized to be at the residence.
September 10th
DOMESTIC: At 1:30 a.m. police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a North Bennington Road residence. The disturbance was between an ex-husband/wife. It was verbal.
ARREST: At 2:30 a.m. police arrested Dale Trow, 32, of Bennington charging him with an Open Container violation. He was released on a summons with an October 15th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
ARREST: At 2:30 a.m. police arrested Crystal Avery, 32, of Bennington charging her with Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. She was released on a summons with an October 15th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
JUVENILE: At 7:30 p.m. police received a report of possible child abuse. The case was investigated and a report made to the Division of Children, Youth and Family.
JUVENILE: Police spoke to a group of juveniles who entered into a vacant house on Bible Hill Road.
September 11th
THEFT: At 5:00 p.m. police received a report of a theft of a potted plant from a Francestown Road residence.
ARREST: At 2:45 p.m. after responding to a report of a domestic disturbance on South Bennington Road police arrested Robert Dehart, 42, of Francestown charging him with Criminal Mischief, Illegal Possession of Alcohol and Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail pending an October 15th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
September 12th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of stray dogs on Bible Hill Road. Police spoke to the owner.
September 13th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hancock Police with a motor vehicle accident on State Route 136.
September 14th
CRIMINAL THREATENING: At 5:30 p.m. police received a report from a Mountain Side Condos resident regarding receiving a threatening phone call. Investigation continues.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Greenfield Road. They were unable to catch the dog; however, found out that at a later time it was struck by a vehicle.
ARREST: At 8:00 p.m. police arrested Mary Arsenault, 38, of Bennington on a warrant from Peterborough Police. She was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail with a September 27th court date in Jaffrey/Peterborough District Court.
September 15th
THEFT: At 4:00 p.m. police received a report of a theft involving car parts and appliances from a Francestown Road residence. Investigation continues.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a report of a home invasion on Clinton Road.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue Department with a medical call at a State Route 202 residence.
September 16th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Acre Street. Police were unable to catch the dog; however, the owner was known and spoken to.
JUVENILE: Police received a report of juveniles fishing on private property. They were gone by time police arrived.
September 17th
CIVIL: Police attempted to mediate a dispute over property ownership at a Dodge Hill Road residence.
JUVENILE: Police received a report of three juveniles being involved in a disorderly conduct incident. Investigation continues.
September 18 th
THEFT: Police received a report of items being stolen from a yard at a State Route 202 residence.
INVESTIGATION: Police received a report of an intoxicated person riding a bicycle on State Route 202. Police did not find the person.
ARREST: Police arrested Christina Emond of Antrim charging her with Driving after Suspension plus having two bench warrants. She was released on personal recognizance bail pending an October 15th court date in Hillsborough District Court.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with a call for service involving spilled gas and a medical call. Both calls were at the Harris’ Mini Mart.
September 19th
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on North Bennington Road. Investigation revealed that a vehicle struck a dog. There was no damage to the vehicle; however, the dog did not survive.
September 20th
ARREST: Police arrested Michael Arsenault Jr. charging him with Burglary, Trespass and Theft. He also had two warrants from another department. He is currently being held in Hillsborough House of Corrections. He was given a variety of court dates for the charges.
September 21st
INVESTIGATION: Police received a report of marijuana plants growing. Location is not being released. Investigation continues.
September 22nd
OHRV: Police received a complaint of off road recreational vehicles racing and/or speeding on Pine Meadows Circle. Police located the OHRV’s which were parked at the time. They spoke to the operators.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Deering Police with an OHRV complaint on North Bennington Road. They did not find the vehicles.
September 23rd
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Hancock Police with an arrest involving a motorcyclist which was involved in a pursuit.
September 24th
CIVIL: Police attempted to mediate a dispute over property. Some of the issues were taken care of; however, this is an ongoing dispute; therefore, there are still property issues.
CRIMINAL THREATENING: At 10:00 police took a report of a State Route 202 resident threatening some people he thought was trespassing. Investigation continues.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: At 8:45 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 202. Investigation revealed that the driver Susan Jepson, 62, of Sanbornton NH struck a moose. The vehicle a 2004 Toyota was probably a total loss. Jepson was not injured; however, the moose did not survive.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog being picked up. Investigation revealed the dog had quills in its face. They were removed by the police and the owner was located.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dog running at large on Bible Hill Road. The dog was returned home and the owner spoken to.
September 25th
CIVIL: At 6:00 p.m. police mediated a dispute involving child issues. This is an ongoing issue involving an ex-husband and wife.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: At 5:00 p.m. police took a report of criminal mischief involving the damaging of a mailbox on Gillis Hill Road.
HARASSMENT: AT 6:30 p.m. police received a report of unwanted calls being made to a North Bennington Road resident. Investigation continues.
September 26th
BURGLARY: At 9:30 p.m. police received a report of a possible burglary at a Francestown Road residence. Police have identified all parties involved; however, at this time the investigation continues.
ANIMAL: Police received a call of stray dogs on Starrett Road. Investigation revealed that a person was watching the neighbor’s dogs when they got loose.
September 27th
ARRESTS: AT 2:00 p.m. police charged three juveniles with disorderly conduct. The charges will probably be handled within the Police Department.
OHRV: Police spoke to a person for riding his OHRV on the roadway – Dodge Road.
ANIMAL: Police received another call regarding dogs running at large on Starrett Road.
September 28th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of dogs running at large on Main Street. Police could not catch the dogs.
September 29th
CIVIL: At 1:00 p.m. police received a report from a North Bennington Road resident involving a dispute over ownership of land. It was determined to be a civil matter between brothers.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue with a medical call on Francestown Road.
September 30th
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: At 9:00 a.m. police took a report of criminal mischief involving damage done to a mail box at a North Bennington Road residence.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING: Police received a report of possible criminal trespassing at a State Route 202 residence. Investigation revealed juveniles fishing at a pond which was located on private property. They departed without incident.
