Sept 1st
E911: Police responded to an Emergency 911 call at an Onset Road residence. It was accidental.
TRESPASS: Police investigated a report of trespassing at the Monadnock Paper Mills.
Sept 2nd
TRESPASS/HARASSMENT: Police took a report from a Dodge Hill Road resident regarding being threatening and harassed by a neighbor.
BAD CHECKS: Police investigated bad checks which were passed at the Bennington Country Store.
SHOTS FIRED: Police investigated a report of shots fired on North Bennington Road. The individual was found to have a night hunt permit.
Sept 3rd
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog at the Crotched Mountain Ski Area.
Sept 4th
JUVENILE: Police received a report of juveniles were playing dangerously by chasing a bus.
Sept 5th
CIVIL: Police investigated a report of a person having a vehicle without permission. It was found to be more of a civil issue.
NOISE: Police received a report from an Acre Street resident regarding excessive noise by the neighbor.
Sept 6th
THEFT: Police took a report of a theft of a cash register from a local business.
Sept 8th
ACCIDENT: Police responded to Main Street for a report of a delivery truck taking down power lines. The lines were cable. They were repaired.
Sept 9th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dead dog on Francestown Road. The dog was struck by a vehicle.
ANIMAL: Police received two additional complaints regarding dogs running at large; one on Francestown Road and one on Onset Road.
Sept 10th
DISABLED VEHICLE: Police received a report of a disabled school bus. It was repaired by school district maintenance personnel.
ALARM: Police responded to the Town Hall for an alarm. It was determined to have been accidental.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dog on Durgin Road almost causing a motor cycle to crash. Police spoke to owners.
Sept 11th
ARREST: Police arrested Wayne Woods on two bench warrants. He was transported.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a drug overdose on Concord Street.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with a medical call at a local restaurant.
Sept 12th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a dog in the roadway on State Route 202. Police were unable to catch the dog.
Sept 13th
ACCIDENT: Police responded to State Route 202 for a report of a motor vehicle accident. There were no injuries.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police Department with a domestic incident on West Street and an unwanted person at a residence on Main Street.
ILLEGAL BURN: Police received a report of an unauthorized burn on Durgin Road. Investigation revealed a valid permit.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a barking dog at an Antrim Road residence. The owner was spoken to.
Sept 14th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Merrill Drive. The dog was not located.
GRAFFITI: Police received a report of graffiti being carved into school playground equipment.
Sept 15th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Fire Department with a burn on Dodge Hill Road. Property owners did not have a permit; therefore, the fire was put out.
ROAD DEBRY: Police received a report of road debris on Dodge Hill Road. It was removed.
ROAD DEBRIS: Police received a report of branches blocking traffic on Gillis Hill Road. The branches were removed.
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on the school playground. The dog was caught and returned to its owner.
TRESPASS: Police received a report of criminal trespass at a Hancock Road residence.
OPEN DOOR: Police found a door open on Hancock Road. The building was secured.
Sept 16th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Durgin Road. The owner was spoken to.
NOISE: Police responded to North Bennington Road for a noise complaint.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Dodge Hill Road. The vehicle was gone by time police arrived.
Sept 17th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a missing dog from a Francestown Road residence.
Sept 18th
BAD CHECKS: Police follow-up on a bad check which was passed at Harris’ Mini Mart.
THEFT: Police found a motorcycle which was taken without permission from another town. The driver was turned over to the town where the motorcycle was taken from.
Sept 19th
JUVENILE: Police received a report of a child playing in the roadway on State Route 202. Police did not find anyone.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Bennington Rescue with a call involving an overdose at a Dodge Road residence.
Sept 20th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted Antrim Police twice: Once for a vehicle lockout and once with a five car motor vehicle accident.
Sept 21st
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Dodge Hill Road. They have identified the vehicle; however, at this point the investigation continues.
MOTOR VEHICLES: Police received two motor vehicles complaints regarding motorists on State Route 202. One was for speed and one was for possible Driving While Intoxicated.
CIVIL: Police received a report involving an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend and a domestic violence order situation.
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with a building check after a door was found open.
Sept 22nd
ROAD HAZARD: Police received a report of a road hazard involving a tree in the roadway on Greenfield Road. The tree was removed by a passing motorist.
THEFT: Police received a report of a theft of a vehicle from a North Bennington Road residence. It was determined to be more of a civil matter between father and son.
SMOKE: Police received a report of a possible fire on South Bennington Road. Investigation revealed the resident had a permit to burn.
ALARM: Police responded to a local business for an alarm. It was determined to have been accidental.
Sept 24th
ANIMAL: Police received a report of a stray dog on Antrim Road. Police could not catch the dog; however, the owner was notified.
BAD CHECKS: Police received a report from an apartment manager regarding receiving bad checks. He was advised on how to proceed with processing the checks.
Sept 25th
ACCIDENT: Police responded to State Route 202 for a three vehicle accident. Four people were transported to hospital. One vehicle sustained serious damage and two vehicles were totaled.
CHECK WELFARE: Police were requested to check the welfare of a North Bennington Road resident.
Sept 26th
JUVENILE: Police were requested to check the welfare of a student which was not at school.
ANIMAL: Police received two animal neglect complaints: one from a State Route 202 residence and one from a North Bennington Road residence.
Sep 27th
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Police received a report involving juveniles throwing bottles and threatening a man and his daughter. Police found some individuals and spoke to them. They denied any wrongdoing. Investigation continues.
Sept 29th
MUTUAL AID: Police assisted the Antrim Police with an arrest on State Route 202.
Sept 30th
CHECK WELFARE: Police were requested to check the welfare of a student not in school.
HARASSMENT: Police received two reports of harassment. Both were unwanted phone contacts. One to a Francestown Road residence and one to a South Bennington Road residence.
